Psalm 27
V.3
Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.
In this I will be confident ....
Are you confident? Do you have it settled in your heart that Jesus is Lord?
That no matter what rises up against you, your God is the victor.. your God is the faithful one, your God is present, your God your help, your God will not forsake you, your God will take care of you.
Do you have that settled in your soul?
When I read this chapter, I always remember what I have come from... that Jesus truly is my help, everpresent, constant provider, midnight encourager...He is the One who never leaves, the One who shines light on truth, the One who makes a way where there seems to be no way.
V. 9
“Do not hide Your face from me;
Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
You have been my help;
Do not leave me nor forsake me,
O God of my salvation”
I challenge you today, I challenge you to remind yourself of His faithfulness to you. If you haven’t known the Lord for long, I challenge you to look back a few weeks or days ago and see where God moved on your behalf.
It is so good to think upon and recollect who you used to be because it makes Him real and it makes you recognize He has changed you. Don’t be afraid to remember the old you. She isn’t present anymore. Someone has taken her place, His name is Jesus. The new girl may have memories of the old girl, but she will make new memories with her Jesus. The old memories will point to His goodness and faithfulness.
For those of you that have been with the Lord for years or months- think back and remember what and who He saved you out of. You, my friend, would have lost heart ... you would have not believed .....unless He had met you right where you were. Here in the land of the living we get to see the goodness of the Lord.
So while you wait and remember, be of VERY GOOD COURAGE, because He WILL strengthen your heart as you just wait and remember!
V.13-14
I would have lost heart,unless I had believed
That I would see the goodnessof the LORD
In the land of the living .
Wait on the LORD;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the LORD!
