Be Present

What is the first thing you do when something wonderful is happening right in front of you and you want to remember it forever? For me, the answer to that question would be to pull out my phone and take a picture or video it. Recently, someone brought to my attention that when I do that, I am not enjoying the moment for I am merely looking at it through a screen. At first, I thought whatever but then after pondering upon the idea I realized that person was oh so correct. Being PRESENT in the moment gives you the greatest GIFT of a memory to last a lifetime. You get to not only see it but feel the emotions surrounding you at that very moment. This holiday season capture those great shots with your camera but enjoy wonderful moments with your family and friends by setting aside distractions and BE PRESENT.
