Be Still

Psalm 46:10 KJV

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

I’m a busy stay-at-home mom. I gave birth to a new baby boy less than two weeks ago. I have a 20-month-old, a 12-year-old and a 16-year-old. I know what it feels like to be tired and to not have enough time in a day. Time is a valuable thing, a gift from God that should be spent wisely.

I want to encourage every busy woman to spend a moment each day reflecting on the goodness of God, so He can speak to you. God is always ready to speak, we are just not always ready to listen. Make yourself available to hear His still, small voice.

One moment spent with Him will rejuvenate and revive your soul. Take a moment to read your Bible and reflect carefully on it. Ask God to speak to you as you cast all your cares on Him, knowing that He cares for you.

And when you find yourself in a situation that you are asking God about, just be still. Know that He is God and His word is true. He is truth. He will supply all your needs and He will answer your prayers, in His perfect time. Wait on the Lord.
