What do you think of when you think of all the soldiers that fought and still fight for our freedom? I think of men who follow commands. They follow them well. Some to life and some to death. Some are still following closely to the last word or command they were told.
We are likened to a soldier in 2 Timothy 2:3-4. It says, “You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of [this] life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier”.
What type of soldier are you? Do you listen and follow the Word of the One you are trying to please or are you a rogue soldier, marching to your own beat? There is power in many. There is order in this position. There are rankings in the Kingdom. Some are lower ranks and some higher.
I truly believe that a soldiers ability to follow orders or not to, determines their career and ranking in the military. I think it is the same in the Kingdom. God’s ability to speak and your ability to hear and obey immediately, determines what you are able to be trusted with or territory you can rule over.
Obeying His word is much more important than hearing it and doing nothing. We are activated by the commands and words of the Lord. Everything changes when He speaks.
To all of the good soldiers in the land of plenty, thank you. We are truly grateful for your sacrifice and your obedience. To those who have lost loved ones due to their obedience and love for countrymen and their country, thank you. I don’t have enough words of gratitude. How we thank you. My heart and prayers go out to those that have been left behind. What bravery you have shown. Thank you for giving and allowing someone else to reap the benefit of freedom.
To my fellow soldiers in Christ. Thank you for fighting, for keeping rank, for your obedience to the Lord and your fellow believers. We thank you for going ahead, taking territory and giving us hope for the future. You are so appreciated.
Friends, the grace of God will keep you. May He send and command plenty of you. May you always say yes and obey immediately the One who enlisted you. May you please His heart. Before you are able to gain the accolades of man, I pray you gain the heart of your Father and Master.
