I love the quote that says "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail." Has anyone else ever seen that ring true in their lives? I've seen that happen in my own life more times than I am actually willing to admit.
A few months ago some friends of mine were talking about plans in their lives and it really challenged me to stop and take stock of what i was wanting to accomplish in my life in a few areas. I realized that it's so easy for us to just drift from one day to the next and allow ourselves to not even be aimed at a target for such a long time. I don't know about you, but I don't want to drift. I don't want to wake up years down the road and not even be able to see how I got to where I am because I just allowed life to drift me along.
After the conversation with my friends, I decided to practically put some plans in place to be sure that I'm aimed at a target in life. I looked at my life spiritually, physically, and emotionally and evaluated where I was and where I wanted to be. I practically combed through those areas and took stock of my life. I then made a plan for each area. Something that was achievable, had direction, and reflected who I wanted to be.
Who or what are you wanting to be in the future? What are the targets you want to aim at? And practically what are the plans you can make today to help you get there?
