I love the verse in Psalms 139:14 that says "Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know". It makes me chuckle just a little. Complex is the key. Ladies, we are so many things that is for sure.
As I think about the balancing act between being a wife, mother, ministry and work, complex comes to my mind. The Lord made us this way. Wonderfully Complex!!!
Some mornings when we wake up, Wonderful may not be what you feel, but it is not about feelings. It is about who you are. Who God made you to be.
Starting your day with the One who made you will help the balancing act. Sometimes, we feel like we wear so many hats; when in reality, we can do more than we ever even imagined if we are allowing God to work in us and through us, (Ephesians 3:20) and giving Him the glory for it.
I don't put on my mom hat and take off my wife hat, my ministry hat, and work hat, I am all at the same time. The key here is being centered with the One who created and made us. The more time I spend with Jesus, the more centered and spirit lead I am. Fueled up and ready for anything. Being Spirit lead instead of Hat lead.
Let's be real. We will not be perfect in everything we do, but being Spirit Lead we will have more Grace as a wife and mother. We will understand that Ministry is loving God, loving people, and serving more than just a position to fill or a 9-5 job. And being Wonderfully Complex, well that is a Gift from God!
