“Let Everything That Has Breath”

Written by Morgan Fulton:

Psalm 150

1 Praise the Lord.

Praise God in his sanctuary;

praise him in his mighty heavens.

2 Praise him for his acts of power;

praise him for his surpassing greatness.

3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,

praise him with the harp and lyre,

4 praise him with timbrel and dancing,

praise him with the strings and pipe,

5 praise him with the clash of cymbals,

praise him with resounding cymbals.

6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.

This is one of my favorite Psalms because it is a beautiful reminder of our purpose here on this Earth, to praise God and give Him glory! This verse reminds us that with everything we have, we are to give Him praise. One practice of prayer that I like to engage in with the Psalms is taking the scripture, applying the principles to my own life, write a similar version, and pray it over myself multiple times. This is a great scripture to do just that because though I don’t have a lyre, or a timbrel, or a harp, I do have things to my disposal to praise God with! I am going to write up my Psalm below and I encourage YOU to take a moment and prayerfully do the same!

Praise the Lord

Praise God in my home;

praise him at church.

Praise him for healing my body;

praise him for how good He is to me.

Praise Him with my song;

praise Him with a testimony,

praise Him with a dance,

praise Him with obedience,

praise Him with my hands

praise Him with my life.

With every breath I will praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord
