Psalm 43

HOPE

Psalm 43

“Declare me innocent, O God!

Defend me against these ungodly people.

Rescue me from these unjust liars.

For you are God, my only safe haven.

Why have you tossed me aside?

Why must I wander around in grief,

oppressed by my enemies?

Send out your light and your truth;

let them guide me.

Let them lead me to your holy mountain,

to the place where you live.

There I will go to the altar of God,

to God--the source of all my joy.

I will praise you with my harp,

O God, my God!

Why am I discouraged?

Why is my heart so sad?

I will put my hope in God!

I will praise him again--

my Savior and my God!”

 Don’t we all find ourselves arguing with our reality. So many times I am arguing and fighting to have my hope crush my reality... I don’t know much about UFC fighting but I picture my hope in Jesus holding my reality down and making it “Tap Out” and surrender to what I know is true of Jesus.

I know that my reality of pain or suffering, the nations turmoil, or the ruling of injustices all around the world, cannot and will not overtake the Hope that is within me - I WILL PUT MY HOPE IN GOD!

Because He is worthy of it - because He has done more in an instant that brings life, than I can do in a lifetime - Because He is God.

So today, I challenge you... while you are fighting with your reality today- overtake what you see with eyes of HOPE and make your reality have to “Tap Out” and surrender to your Jesus and His final word!

Remember the day you surrendered your life to the King? Relive ....the circumstance...the place...the people there.. ....the lighting of your surroundings....the temperature of the room. How tangible
