I have quarters laying around all over my house on purpose! They’re on my dresser, my kitchen counter, the coffee table…they...are...EVERYWHERE!
And why you might ask…
It all has to do with the, often used,
“Quarter Illustration” that goes like this ….. if you take a quarter and hold it close to your eye it looks REALLY BIG and you can’t see much beyond it. But if you extend it at arms length it suddenly looks way smaller and you can see around it.
My tendency, often, is to allow small issues to block my vision and overwhelm me. All I can seem to think about is the problem. My issue seem larger than life because Im SO focused on it and I can’t even see the blessings that are right in front of me 😭
So, for this reason, my scattered quarters are my constant reminders to stop looking at my problems so closely and to quickly give them over to God. Therefore, allowing my attention to consider the many wonderful blessings that surround me. My thoughts then quickly turn from worry to gratitude.
This week, as you are out and about running errands, you might want to make some change that might in turn change your focus to life giving things.
