Motherhood is one of the most challenging, yet fulfilling jobs there is. I am glad that the Lord chose me to do it too, even when it gets tough. I have two babies still in diapers, a preteen and a 16-year-old. I am a stay-at-home mom and pastor’s wife. I am busy, but I am blessed.
I have learned that with every blessing, there is a burden. The two go hand in hand. I have the blessing of being a mother, I also have the burden of teaching my children to love and obey God. That is the most important thing I can do for them.
Sometimes mothering doesn’t come so naturally when a person has not had a good mother themselves. However, the love of God is supernatural. With God’s love working in our lives, any fear or mountain will be cast down. He will teach us all things.
God has the answer that you need, whether it be how to deal with a rebellious teenager, or how to not fall to pieces emotionally at the end of a long day of taking care of little babies. Believe me, I can relate! Either way, if God brought you to it, He will bring you through it.
His word says in Psalm 55:22 that we should cast our burdens upon the Lord and He WILL sustain us. He will NEVER suffer the righteous to be moved (or shaken). That is a promise from God that we need to hold onto. Sustain means to comfort, help, assist, encourage or support. So, stand fast holding onto God and He will sustain you. He will not allow you to fall apart. He will hold you together and He will comfort you and supply your needs.
