What lies ahead?
Time....how do you measure it? Maybe in hours spent doing something you like or dislike? Maybe in dollars spent versus time it would have taken to do it yourself? We all measure time in the way that makes the most sense to us personally. The same can be said about how we view new beginnings. Some people are so excited about "a new year a new me", but others may say "new year same problems".
Ecclesiastes 3:1 "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven..."
Seasons change. People change. Life changes in an instant. So, for me I want to change with each season that my life goes through. I want to experience the time (the moment) and then move forward into what is next.
Philippians 3:13 "...forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead."
Not all seasons are good ones; however when one season ends we should be getting ready for the next one. When winter is over, I put up my sweaters and take out my shorts anticipating warmer weather. We should leave one season whether it was good or bad anticipating what lies ahead. As you begin this new year (season), live life intentionally. Before you know it, this season will be over too. What lies ahead for you?
