With a Grateful Heart

I was shopping at Target sometime last year and a sign in the home decor area caught my attention. It said "start each day with a grateful heart." I like this idea, but my thing is that I don't want to just start the day with a grateful heart, I want to live the entire day and end it with a grateful heart too.

Often in life we can set out with the best intentions and attitude. We start out full of hope and energy and promise and even gratitude. But then throughout the day, little by little our energy and optimism and gratitude gets chipped away.

Can I challenge you (and myself) to live the entirety of every day with a grateful heart? Don't just start that way, but check yourself throughout the day and and again at the end and see if you were able to maintain an attitude of gratitude throughout the day.

"always give thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

-Ephesians 5:20
