Sometimes ministry can feel like no one sees all that you are doing. Sometimes being a volunteer can feel like no one sees or appreciates what you are doing. Sometimes leading can feel like no one sees or respects what you are doing. Basically anytime we are doing things to serve others it can feel like no one sees or appreciates what we are doing.
In Galatians 6:9 Paul says "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
When I read this verse it helps me to persevere even when I feel unseen or unappreciated. It helps me to persevere for a few reasons:
1. It reminds me that God does see what I'm doing. Even if no one else happens to, the Lord of the harvest sees what I am doing and He's actually working right in the midst of it with me.
2. It reminds me that serving is not a short-term endeavor. Sometimes what we do is not seen because it's an investment in the harvest that will only show at a latter time. We can't give up now because if we give up then there may not be a harvest one day.
Dear friends that may be tired or just feel under-appreciated...... don't grow weary in doing good. Know that God sees you and know that everything you do to serve the kingdom of God will help to build the harvest!
Love this! 💜
